RAPTOR RACK, Roof Rack Mounting Instructions.

SIDE MOUNTED POSITION.

STEP 1:

Locate a suitable position for the U Bolts and RAPTOR RACK mounting bracket.

STEP 2:

Place the RAPTOR RACK base plate into position over the U Bolts.

STEP 3:

Attach the RAPTOR RACK angle bracket to the base plate and fix firmly in place

with the serrated hex flange nut and washers.

 Note:

Raptor Racks are also designed to conform to the shape of your roof rack.

 

They will allow up to 5mm of deflection on the outer edge of the base plate and angle bracket, when tightening down the  U Bolts.

STEP 4:

Attach the adjustable top mounting pin bracket, to the base brackets.

With the two 25mm Button Socket Screws.

STEP 5:

Attach MAXTRAX mounting pins to the mounting pin bracket.

Then double check that all nuts and bolts have been securely attached.

NOTE:

The top mounting pin bracket dose not have to be centrally mounted.

It can be adjusted up or down depending on the height of your roof rack

in relation to the vehicles roof line.

Do Not Over Tighten U Bolt Flange Nuts.

Excessive over tightening may cause damage to the nylon base plate and

angle bracket.

 

 WARNING !!!

Before driving and frequently during your journey (particularly on rough roads and off road tracks), check that all nuts, bolts and mounting pins are tight and the MAXTRAX are securely attached and cannot move.

Failure to properly follow these instructions may lead to property damage and/or personal injury.

 

 

RAPTOR RACK, Roof Top Mounting Instructions.

TOP MOUNTED POSITION.

STEP 1:

Pre assemble the angle bracket and mounting pin bracket with the 25mm Button

Socket Screws. Then attach the MAXTRAX mounting pins to the mounting pin bracket.

STEP 2:

Attach both RAPTOR RACK mounting brackets to the base of your MAXTRAX

recovery ramps.

(This will help to keep the brackets in an upright position when you place them

on top of your roof rack.)

STEP 3:

Place your MAXTRAX and RAPTOR RACK brackets in position on top of the

roof rack.

STEP 4:

Attach the RAPTOR RACK base plate to the underside of the roof

rack and hand tighten the two 30mm Button Socket Screws and flange nuts.

STEP 5:

Remove the MAXTRAX from the RAPTOR RACK mounting brackets and tighten

all nuts and bolts.

WARNING:

Do Not Over Tighten the base plate bolts and Flange Nuts.
